On November 19, the sky was clear over Lianyungang, Ganyu, where rows of neatly arranged photovoltaic panels on tens of thousands of mu of fish ponds glistened under the sun, resembling a vast blue ocean. This is the largest single fish-light complementary 940MW photovoltaic power generation project in the country, constructed by Hengdian DMEG Co., Ltd. On that day, a grand ceremony was held to celebrate the successful grid connection of the project’s first batch of capacity, with Three Changes Technology Co., Ltd., as the partner for the power station’s core system – power transformers, being invited to attend the ceremony.
It is understood that since the project’s inception, it has not only received strong support from the Ganyu District of Lianyungang City and been welcomed by local fishermen, but has also expanded the new pattern of industrial development in the area. Preliminary estimates suggest that once the project is fully completed, the annual total electricity generation can reach 1.609 billion kilowatt-hours, saving an average of 496,400 tons of coal annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.2374 million tons per year, sulfur dioxide by 200.55 tons per year, and nitrogen oxides by 286.51 tons per year. This will play a positive role in improving environmental quality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
